As the founder of Crystal Heart Productions, she has created a powerful body of work across film, music, and memoir that champions compassion, resilience, and women’s empowerment worldwide.

Through Crystal Heart Productions, Angelena writes, directs, and produces multi-award-winning documentaries and original soundtracks that have earned over 400 international awards. Her work, including Heart of the Matter and The Angelena Bonet Show, has been recognized globally for its honesty, emotional depth, and advocacy for women’s rights.
💞 A Love Story That Inspired a Legacy
Angelena’s creative journey began with her late fiancé, musician Erick Deeby, with whom she co-wrote and recorded her earliest songs. Following his sudden passing, she completed their work — transforming grief into art — beginning with her signature song Tragic Fairytale.

After surviving a violent crime in 2012, Angelena devoted her life to empowering women through truth and storytelling. Her films, music, and memoir are dedicated to ending violence against women and promoting collective healing through compassion.

Following a life-altering experience in 2012, Angelena chose to channel her recovery into creative work focused on advocacy, awareness, and connection. Through documentary filmmaking, music, and public conversation, her projects explore themes of healing, resilience, and social responsibility.
Her work has included interviews and collaborations with international leaders in women’s rights and social change, including Tina Chen (CEO, Time’s Up and former Women’s Equality Advisor to President Obama), Paulette Senior (former CEO, Canadian Women’s Foundation), and Tony Award-winning playwright and activist Eve Ensler, founder of V-Day and One Billion Rising.
